Unique Boyd, LMHC
An experienced and dedicated practitioner providing talk therapy sessions in New York State, Unique has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelor's in Psychology, and an Associate’s in Humanities & Social Sciences. Unique got into the field because there weren't enough clinicians that looked like nor understood her. She brings to her practice experience in supervisory and direct patient care roles in various settings in the behavioral health field. It is Unique’s mission to make mental health care safe and equittable for everyone, especially marginalized folks. Unique specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma. A large part of her work is also helping individuals navigate life transitions, relationships, and cultural stressors. In her graduate studies Unique conducted immense research on health disparities within Black and Brown communities and individuals who have been impacted by incarceration. She has also served on several DEI committees as a member and co-chair.
